ISGWA-2010
IndIGO School on Gravitational Wave Astronomy
13-24 December 2010University of Delhi
This introductory school is aimed to expose the students to the emerging and exciting research frontier of gravitational wave astronomy. Primarily intended for bachelors- and masters students in Physics and Engineering, the school can also accommodate a few PhD students in related fields. A series of lectures on a wide spectrum of topics ranging from general relativity, astrophysics, data analysis and interferometry are planned. Afternoon sessions dedicated to tutorials and hands-on training are aimed to initiate the students to current research problems. Teaching faculty involves eminent scientists from India and abroad. A few committed students may be identified for specific follow up research projects. Travel and accommodation of the participants will be supported.
